We had an amazing weekend full of gigs on Bank Hol weekend. On Friday, we played at Luke & Rose’s wedding reception at the Hare & Hounds Hotel in Tetbury. We performed Magic by Coldplay as their first dance. Saturday took us to Wootton Hall in Gloucester to entertain birthday girl Lesley and all her friends and family at her 60th party. Legend Lesley was a true rocker and ended up joining us on stage for a few songs! Then all her girlfriends got up on stage too and we had a riot! On Sunday, our sister band www.theladysingsjazz.com performed at John & Shela’s wedding ceremony and afternoon champagne reception at Manor House Hotel in Castle Combe and then Firefly performed in the evening. We received a beautiful thank you email from them afterwards:

A big big thank you from Shela and I and indeed all our guests for the fabulous music on Sunday. We had a brilliant day from start to finish. The ceremony was a dream and whilst our friendly photographer Paul kept us away from the afternoon jazz we received so many compliments from our guests who were lucky enough to hear it. The fact you had the dancefloor packed all evening speaks for itself! Quite how I ended up holding a remote flash on a long pole while Paul photographed my daughter Ellie smoking outside on the steps remains something of a mystery to me but assuming we make it back to the manor house for new year (which we very much hope to) we are both looking forward to spending rather more time on the dancefloor ourselves:-)
