We had the BEST time playing at the March Bears RUFC 50thRugby Club Anniversary Dinner on Saturday 8th June in Cambridge. Clairice Pepper and her team organised the event and it was a truly fabulous affair! Clairice is a renowned former Westend Star, having performed in many musicals! So it was only right that she should join us on stage! She joined us for a number of songs and did an amazing job! Wendy Abrahams was also on backing and lead vocals and she and Suzy, Clairice and the male singers in the band sang to their hearts’ content! Clairice had a number of song requests which we were only too happy to learn. These included The Littlest Hobo & Happy Days!
We were joined by fabulous saxophonist, Sean McBride. He played saxophone, the flute and harmonica! Chris Cobbson joined us on bass guitar, Wendy Abrahams on vocals, Suzy on lead vocals, Dave Miles on guitar and vocals, Martyn Alsop on drums and vocals, Paul Hardy on keyboards and Chads Chadbury on sound.
