Suzy and Michaela of Firefly Band at RNAS Yeovilton Officers Mess Summer Ball

We returned to play at yet another military gig on Saturday 18th December 2021 for the Beacon Barracks Officers’ Mess Christmas Ball.

We were welcomed by the client, Alex Richards, into the most gorgeous setting. The entire venue was decorated with Christmas decs and it looked so lovely and festive. We then entertained the Ministry of Defence Officers until the early hours of the morning. Wow, these military folk can party!

We love playing at military functions and we can now add MoD Beacon Barracks  to our very long list of military function gigs in South West England, the Midlands, Somerset and Gloucestershire. See a list of Firefly Band performances at military functions below.

In the band for this amazing military function were Suze J on lead vocals, Paul Hardy on keyboards, Martyn Alsop on drums, Superman Dave on bass and Dave Miles on guitar and vocals and Kev Howlett on sound and the disco. We played a ton of songs and the dance floor was packed. The set list included songs by Slade, Guns n Roses, The Killers, Bon Jovi, Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Jess Glynne, Sia, Avicci, Chic, Abba and many more!
