We played 6 gigs in June, starting with the wedding of Ben & Megan, in Toddington Village Hall, on 10th June 2023. We played as a 7-piece band including saxophone and the dancefloor was packed all night! We performed their first dance, Higher & Higher, by Jackie Wilson.
On 17th June, we entertained incredibly fit people at the London Hash House Harriers running club annual dance at Stroud Rugby Club. We played all 70’s and 80’s songs as requested and in spite of the average age being 70, the dancefloor was packed all night and it was such a great night!
24th June saw us return for yet another fantastic 6th Form Leavers’ Ball at private school, Dean Close School in Cheltenham. We entertained 18 year olds and their teachers all night with songs by Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Sia, Jess Glynne, ABBA, Guns n Roses, Fleetwood Mac, Chic etc. They re-booked us on the spot for next year!
Sunday 25th June, we played at a surprise 60th birthday party for Paul at Toddington Village Hall. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Paul’s amazing wife, Christine, arranged for all the guests to shout ‘surprise’ as he walked in! We played outside as it was glorious weather and it was a brilliant party.
The end of June saw us play a triple-gig weekend. Thursday 29th June, we headed down to the New Forest, where we played at the wedding of Ralph & Victoria at stunning hotel, Rhinefield House Hotel in Brockenhurst. It was an intimate wedding and really so special.
Friday 30th June, we played at another private school ball, this time at Taunton School, where the dancefloor was so packed that the 18 year olds and teachers and parents had to dance around the tables and all corners of the room! We had a beautiful thank you email from the lovely client.
