We enjoyed a bumper-packed month of gigs, this June, including our School Ball gigs where we returned for the 3rd year running!
We returned again to entertain children & families & staff at ‘Woodmanstock’ – a school fundraiser for Woodmancote School in Cheltenham on 21st June 2024. We played outdoors and there was lots of dancing and fun antics, including the band playing Waterloo, whilst the children performed their dance routine to Abba’s Waterloo which they’d learned for the school’s recent 50th anniversary. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Once again, it was a brilliant festival, along with pony rides, food stalls and many games. Over £2,000 was raised to buy the children iPads which is amazing!
Saturday 22nd June, we returned again to entertain 18 year olds at their Summer Leavers’ Ball at Dean Close School, Cheltenham. It was a brilliant night again like last year, and the dancefloor was packed all night with 6th formers and teachers dancing the night away! We were re-booked again on the spot for 2025! Abba was the most popular request from the kids and we played no less than 5 Abba songs. We also played songs by EDM artists including Duo Lipa, Sia, Rhiana, Avicci, Calvin Harris etc.
Friday 28th June 2024, we returned again to entertain 6th formers at Taunton School. Again, like last year, the dancefloor was packed all night and we received an amazing thank you email from the organiser!
Saturday 29th June, we performed for Nick’s 60th birthday party at Hatton Court hotel, alongside a fabulous DJ. Thanks to Encore for the gig! We received a lovely thank you email from Nick, who danced the night away including to songs he’d requested by Elvis, Queen etc.
We love playing at School Balls and 60th birthday parties and our repeat gigs at Taunton School, Dean Close School and Woodmancote School, year on year, can now be added to our very long list of school gigs in South West England, the Midlands, Somerset and Gloucestershire.
